Hi, I'm Josie – a UX designer with roots in art, craft, and cross-cultural insight.

Before stepping into the world of digital design, I spent over a decade exploring beauty, craftsmanship, and human stories through fine art and metalcraft. From painting in high school to studying product design in university, I’ve always been driven by curiosity, hands-on creativity, and a deep appreciation for detail.

Later, I dove into the world of business and marketing, earning a Master's degree in London, where I learned to connect design with purpose – making things not just beautiful, but useful and strategic. My experiences studying abroad and working with international teams shaped my ability to see design through a global, inclusive lens.

These diverse paths have shaped who I am as a designer today:
Aesthetically sensitive thanks to my fine art and design background
Business-savvy through research, testing, and data-driven thinking
Globally aware, with empathy for different users, cultures, and contexts

In the past 5+ years, I’ve led UI/UX projects from the ground up – from designing mobile apps and websites to building design systems, conducting usability research, and aligning with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results. Whether it’s boosting engagement, simplifying complex user journeys, or crafting delightful interfaces, I enjoy solving problems that matter.

I believe design is a way of thinking, a way of caring, and a way of bridging the gap between people and technology.

Let’s create something meaningful, together.

Engaged with community

I've been an active participant in UX design meetups and even taking on the role of a teaching assistant in a mentorship program of UX team. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for UX design. I've relished the opportunity to engage with professionals from various companies, gaining insights into their unique problem-solving approaches within the realm of design.

Philosophy

1. Problem-solving with empathy, adding value.
The more deeply one can empathize and understand user contexts and situations, the more insights they can uncover. By addressing user problems and designing products that align with user needs, there is a greater opportunity to contribute to the company's profitability.
2. Team collaboration
Before collaboration, establish common goals. In the process of collaboration, if conflicts arise, they should be openly discussed and refocused. Communicate from a unified perspective, standing on the same front to collaboratively address and solve problems.
3. Continuous learning
In the rapidly evolving technology industry, with the constant emergence of new tools, continuous learning is crucial. This ensures not only increased efficiency in work but also guarantees that the designs produced meet the ever-changing demands of users and technological advancements. Continuous learning is essential for providing users with optimal design solutions in order to adapt to the dynamic landscape of user needs and technological developments.
